Center Launches Fall Webinar Series on Property Taxes, Health Care, More

In the spring, the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center rolled out a new way to keep people connected to what's happening in Harrisburg: a biweekly webinar series. After a summer break, we're back this month with a new series of webinars over the noontime hour. So pack your brown bag lunch and join us.

The first webinar kicks off on Friday, October 18, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a look at legislative proposals to completely eliminate school property taxes in Pennsylvania. We've already blogged about the threat this approach poses to public education, and this webinar will take a closer look at the issue.

Webinars continue through December, with topics ranging from the countdown to new health care options in 2014 to the latest on jobs in the Marcellus Shale to property tax relief that will work for Pennsylvania to what we can do to restore needed education funding. Each webinar is designed to provide you with the information you need to shape the debate in the State Capitol. We hope you will join us.
